About Jerome G. Silbert
Jerome G. Silbert is not just a writer; he’s a former prosecutor and seasoned defense attorney who has lived the stories most authors can only imagine. After more than four decades inside the American legal system, he now channels his experience into gripping legal thrillers that are as authentic as they are impossible to put down.
With a legal career that began in 1975, Jerome spent years in the courtroom, Jerome Silbert spent ten years as an assistant state’s attorney in Cook County, Illinois and later in private practice, handling hundreds of cases that gave him a front-row seat to justice, corruption, redemption, and everything in between. Today, those same themes beat at the heart of his novels.
Real Law. Real Stakes. Real Characters.
What sets Jerome’s writing apart is its honesty. He doesn’t just create suspense, he builds it from the bones of the real world. Every case he’s tried, every verdict he’s witnessed, adds weight to the choices his characters make and the twists his plots take.

Beyond the Books
When he’s not writing, Jerome enjoys photography, baseball, and quiet time with his wife, Barbara. Together, they’ve raised a daughter who now works in social services. Jerome lives in the northern suburbs of Chicago and continues to write with the same curiosity and conviction that fueled his career in law.
Silbert brought the characters to life and made you care about them – a sign of a great author. The subject matter was original and interesting and had my attention the entire time. Loved the plot twist at the end. Great summer read.

The story was riveting. I couldn’t put it down and read it right through. The story covered many generations but was still easy to follow as it weaved back and forth through decades.
